EHS Seminar, Galveston, TX – June 5-8, 2017
PSRG will be presenting, chairing and exhibiting at the EHS Seminar in Galveston, TX between June 5-8, 2017.
The annual EHS Seminar is coordinated by the Texas Chemical Council (TCC) and Association of Chemical Industry of Texas (ACIT) in collaboration with the Louisiana Chemical Association (LCA) and the Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance (LCIA) and provides a great opportunity to enhance your regulatory knowledge, learn from best practices, network with industry peers, and hear from experts.
Dr. Sonny Sachdeva will be presenting on Wednesday June 7th at 2.10 pm in room Expo A3. Sonny’s topic is ‘Best Practices in Process Hazard Analysis Facilitation’. Hazard analysis, a key element covered under the U.S. Occupational & Safety Health Act (OSHA) Process Safety Management (PSM) Standard, involves the identification of hazards at a facility and evaluating possible scenarios that could lead to undesirable consequences. Different techniques such as What-if/Checklist, HAZOP, etc. can be used to perform the hazard analysis depending on the life-cycle stage as well as the complexity of the process. Sonny’s presentation will explore the best practices involved in the facilitation of a PHA, and identify the role, responsibility, and characteristics of a good facilitator. It will also discuss common shortfalls observed in a PHA study and corresponding industry best practices.
Annie Nguyen and Della Mullan will both be co-chairing PSM tracks at the conference and you can also visit the PSRG staff at booth 313 in the Exhibit Hall. We look forward to seeing you there!
