Human Error is determined as one of the main causes for most incidents in chemical, aviation, maritime and other industries. However, human error is a very broad term which can be further categorized into different factors affecting human performance such as the environment, the complexity of the task, organizational factors and operator characteristics. In this course, the participants will learn about these human performance impacting factors and various human performance reliability models. This e-Training course will further describe the practical ways of performing human error analysis such as checklists, guideword methods and task analysis methods and talk about prevention and mitigation techniques.
